21 Aug 2014
The Partners of PKF Mack are pleased to share the news that our own Darren Shillington has recently been appointed as a Board Member to the Board of Netball WA.
Netball WA is the overall umbrella organisation for the sport of netball in WA. It currently has 11 affiliated Regions and over 70 affiliated Associations across the state The sport of netball has the highest levels of participation among girls in WA - with more girls playing netball than boys playing AFL! Darren himself can attest to this as you'll find him court side most Saturdays during winter watching his three daughters play.
Netball WA are also responsible for the West Coast Fever as part of the ANZ Championship - and Darren (and his daughters!) are excited to be involved in the team in some small way.
Darren has said he is excited to join a progressive Board who have set ambitious goals and to be a part of growing the sport of netball of WA from grassroots levels right up to the professional level with the West Coast Fever.
Netball WA President, Deane Pieters also welcomed the appointment saying, "We're delighted to have Darren's wealth of business experience as well as his enthusiasm for the sport of netball in Western Australia.
Darren's skill set will provide additional expertise and complement our existing Board Members' strengths as we continue to work towards our ambitious five-year strategic plan."
